SHILLONG: Pynshai Warjri’s double strike ensured Shillong United a comfortable 4-0 win over minnows Umpling in their First Division clash on Friday at the JN Stadium, Polo.

Firstwinshine and Mankupar Rymmai also chipped in with a goal apiece in the first half to lay the foundation for a comprehensive victory.

Shillong United found an early lead when Mankupar beat the keeper in the seventh minute.

Only three minutes later, Firstwinshine scored another and United went into half time with a 2-0 lead.

In the second half, Pynshai scored his first goal in the 56th minute. Then, in the 77th, he fired a shot into the net after a failed attempt by team mate Pynskhem Garod.

Earlier, Pynskhem also missed a penalty shot after being brought down by Umpling’s Dadius Warjri, but he did well to control the midfield.
