‘Kidnapped’ woman returns home

 SHILLONG: The 24-year-old woman, who was earlier reported to have been kidnapped has denied the same.

A FIR which was lodged with the police by the relatives on Friday stated that at around 9:30 am, one Litjanai Sun was kidnapped from Demseiñiong, Shillong in a Hyundai i-10 car (ML-05K-5593).

When contacted, East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrang said that the woman has returned home on her own.

“She has also denied that she was kidnapped,” Kharkrang said.

He informed that the police however have registered a case in this connection.
