Security beefed up in Guwahati airport

Guwahati: Security has been intensified in and around the LGBI airport at Borjhar near Guwahati following intelligence alert on a terror attack on seven major airports across the country.

“We have received an input from intelligence agencies that some terrorist group might target one of the seven airports. We have reviewed the security arrangements of the LGBI Airport and all precautionary measures have been taken to foil the attempt of the terrorists,” said a senior Assam Police official. (IANS)
