Cheating case
lOne Phai Pakem lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that her second husband, Md. Tahir Uddin cheated her of Rs. 3 lakh and also threatened to kidnap her children. Police arrested the accused.
lOne Chetesy M Dkhar lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that since July 14, First Flight Couriers had received her parcel but failed to deliver the same. In this connection, Police arrested Ibankitbok Buhphang.
Theft
lOn the night of July 27, unknown miscreants stole goods valued around Rs. 3,60,000 and cash Rs. 12,500 from the shop of one Cluidrom Premjit Singh at Umkaliar, Nongmensong.
lOn July 26 at about 2:30 pm, unknown miscreants stole a CD player valued around Rs. 10,000 from a vehicle of one Wanbhabok Virgil Marbaniang parked near Wards Lake, Shillong.
lOn the night of July 24, unknown miscreants stole twenty-five batteries from the mobile tower belonging to M/s Aircel Telecommunication at Rongjeng (EGH).
Rape and Assault
lA woman lodged a complaint (July 27) at Jowai PS that in the month of June 2013, one Lidar Shadap (31) had raped her minor grand-daughter (13) at Wahiajer (WJH). Police arrested the accused.
lOn July 27 at around 9.30 pm, one Raju Nongtdu raped one minor girl (9) at Byndihati village (EJH).
lOn July 27 at about 4 am, one Santam assaulted a minor girl (9) at Nongjri (EJH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries.
lOn July 26 at around 10:30 am, one Monty Das assaulted a woman, Sabita Das and her family members at Barapathar, Shillong.
lOn July 24 at about 11:30 pm, two persons, Mohan Lal Saha and Pulesh Marak assaulted one Gopal Saha (22) at Laitumkhrah. Police arrested the accused persons.
Threatening case
lOn July 25 at about 9:30 pm, one Alexander Lamare threatened his family members with dire consequences at Nangbah village (WJH).
lOn April 30 around 5 pm, one Diangbor Suting threatened the Headman, Secretary and VDP members of Amsohtai village (WJH) with dire consequences.
Arson case
On July 25 at around 6:30 pm, one Fastwell Swer (45) attempted to set fire to the house of one Healthy Jones Swer at Mawlai Nonglum. Police arrested the accused.
