TURA: One of the main arms suppliers for the GNLA in North Garo Hills has been arrested by security personnel from an anti-dacoity camp in the district on Thursday.

Police claim that the hardcore over ground worker of the GNLA Alter Marak (26) hailing from Dandakol village, near Thapa Sepikol, was coming from Mendipather market and passing through the area when he was caught by anti-dacoity camp personnel at Thapa Darenchi. Marak had been wanted for working clandestinely with the banned GNLA and reportedly used to transport weapons to GNLA camps in the region under the direct supervision of the militant outfit’s area commander Pilliport Marak.
