Truck torched

On August 3 at around 12.55 am, unknown miscreants set on fire one truck (AS-25B-8496) at 10th Mile under Khanapara police station in Ri Bhoi . As a result, the truck was partially damaged.

Molestation

One Balarin Khyriem lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah police station that on August 2 at around 7 pm, the driver of local taxi (ML-05G-7275) attempted to molest a minor girl aged (17) at Malki Point, Shillong.

Murder

On August 1 at around 11 pm, a woman (32) murdered a person (32) at Maitdien village, West Jaintia Hills. Later, she surrendered herself at Jowai police station.

Assault

One Jolipal N. Sangma lodged a complaint that on August 1 at around 1 pm, two persons, Rangsil D. Marak and Krebith D. Marak broke into his house at Ruga in South Garo Hills and assaulted him.

Theft

On July 30 night, unknown miscreants stole one TV set and electronic goods valued around Rs. 10,000 from an electronic shop belonging to one Manik Barman at Akonggre Tura, West Garo Hills.

Extortion

One Krenalin R. Marak lodged a complaint that on July 28 at around 8 pm, two persons, Pony D. Sangma and Johan M. Marak came to her house at Ruga Rongmani in South Garo Hills and demanded Rs. 1,000 . However, local residents managed to apprehend Johan M. Marak while Pony D. Sangma escaped.
