Local MLA David Nongrum presents a school bag to a child during the celebration of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous People on August 9 at Pepbah, a remote village in Mawryngkneng block in East Khasi Hills District. Each of the 34 households of the village was presented with a water purification filter in the programme organised by the Anthropological Survey of India, NE regional Centre.
