Body recovered
The body of one Lori Pukar Warjri, age 28 years is kept at the morgue of the Shillong Civil Hospital .He was found lying at the Sohra Bus stand under the influence of alcohol on August 13 and he was taken to hospital on the same day but he expired on the same day. His relatives are requested to collect the dead body from the hospital.
One Bul Warjri (38), resident of Jaiaw Lumpyllon Block I was admired in Civil Hospital on August 8. He passed away on August 14. The relatives are requested to collect the dead body from the morgue of this hospital immediately or within a period of three days failing of which the dead body will be send for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
Plantation
English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) Shillong recently took an initiative ” Going Green” in collaboration with the Department of Social Forestry and Environment where trees were planted in the permanent campus at Umsawli and its present campus at NEHU.
Prize
Prize Distribution ceremony of the 39th Cultural Competition, 2013 of Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong will be held on August 17 at 3:00 P.M at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Quinton Road, Shillong. Sanbor Shullai, Deputy Speaker, Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, will be the Chief Guest.
Film
The Community Documentation Committee Mawlai-A Documentary Film will be released on August 17 at the Inter-Conventional Hall of NEHU Campus at Mawlai at 3.45 in which Chief Secretary WMS Pariat will be present as the chief guest.
Lucky draw
The lucky draw organised by the Nongkseh Sports Social and Cultural Club which was scheduled to be held on August 15 has been postponed to a later date due to unavoidable circumstances.
Debate
As part of its Platinum Jubilee celebration, St Mary’s College is organising an Inter college debate competition on August 17 at 11am in the college auditorium.
