Women’s org hails decision to sack SN Roy

 SHILLONG: The Meghalaya United Women’s Welfare Organization has hailed the decision of the State Government to sack SN Roy, former sub-inspector of Rynjah police station who was accused of raping a Class XII student in a city hotel two years back.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, MUWWO president Aruna Biswa said that such action from the State Government will definitely give true hope and faith to the rest of the public and to other victims who has faced similar situations in their lives.

“We MUWWO would like to thank the State Government and Home Minister Roshan Warjri for initiating this step,” Biswa said.
