ACCIDENTS ACROSS STATE

One person died on the spot and two people sustained injuries when the TATA Sumo they were travelling on from Williamnagar to Mendipathar went off the road and into a gorge after it overturned when the driver lost control of the vehicle on a turning. The incident occured at Songsak under Songsak Block, East Garo Hills on Monday evening. Ampilson Sangma (47) and another unknown person were injured in the incident. The injured persons were shifted to Williamnagar Civil Hospital by the emergency 108 service.

 Cosmos Nongrum (11) sustained injuries after he was hit by a scooter while walking on the side of the road at Mawlai Nongkwar, Shillong on Monday evening. Nongrum was admitted to to Dr. H. Gordon Robert Hospital, Shillong.

 In a hit and run case reported from Mawiong, Feelingstone Mawlong (28) sustained injuries after he was hit by a truck while he was crossing the road. The incident occured on Sunday night.
