Funds misuse

Saibok Shylla, headman of Ksehrynshang village (EJH) lodged a complaint that one Barwis Pale, ex-treasurer of the village had misappropriated Rs. 31,560.

Assault

On August 19 at around 6.30 pm, residents of Soksan village (NGH) apprehended and assaulted one Jaman N. Marak at Tensu, after he along with his accomplices threatened the villagers with dire consequences. Later, Police took custody of the accused.

Arrest

On August 19 at around 9 pm, Police arrested one Lokito Rabha in connection with an arson case under Mendipathar police station.

Juveniles held

On August 17 at around 7.30 pm, VDP Members of Nongkhlaw village (WKH) apprehended two juveniles, 13-15 while they were caught committing theft at two shops in the village.

Forgery

A person lodged a complaint at Baghmara PS that on August 13, two unidentified persons served a demand note of Rs 7 lakh in the name of GNLA to one Bijoy Sangma at Karukol (SGH). In this connection, Police conducted search at Chambilgre (SGH) and arrested one Sandesh G. Momin (25) while he was attempting to collect the demand money.
