USTM orientation programme

Ri Bhoi: The University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) organised an orientation programme for its third batch of students for the new academic year 2013 in the University premises on Saturday. A number of academicians and experts were present on the occasion.The inaugural session of the day long orientation programme was graced by Justice I. A. Ansari, Judge, Gauhati High Court, Prof. Amarjyoti Choudhury, Pro-VC, Tezpur university, Prof. Sukumar Nandi, Deputy Director, IIT, Guwahati and Sandipn Nair, DGM (Marketing), Dalmia Cement.

After the inaugural session the orientation programme continued in parallel academic sessions by academicians from different institutions of higher education who interacted with studenst from various departments. In their addresses almost all the guests pressed upon the students the need to contribute to the society.
