Maid found dead in house of ex-CM’s son

 SHILLONG: A maid was found dead at the residence of former Chief Minister JD Rymbai’s son, Mangkara Pathaw, at Nongpathaw, Mawlai Mawdatbaki here on Saturday afternoon.

According to the inquest conducted by the police, no injury marks were visible on the body of the deceased, who was said to be below 18 years of age.

“It might be a case of suicide. The confirmation would be made only after the post mortem reports,” Superintendent of Police (City) Vivek Syiem said.

The maid, hailing from Jirang area in Ri Bhoi district, was discovered hanging in the bathroom around one hour after her death.

“We have registered a case of natural and we are investigating to find out the reason behind the suicide,” Syiem said.
