SHILLONG: Police have filed the chargesheet against Reverend SK Miller, who was arrested last year in connection with a case related to exploitation and sexual abuse of minors staying at the New Life Home owned by him.

The church leader has been booked under Section 354 of the IPC for assaulting and Section 376 for committing rape.

Police have submitted the final report of investigation before the court and the trail of Rev Miller would begin shortly, sources said on Monday. It may be recalled that three FIRs were filed against the 65-year-old priest by CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing for exploiting, molesting and sexually abusing minors staying at New Life Home.

Six children were rescued from the hostel by Police and Childline, an NGO, on September 29 last year.

The Shillong bench of the Gauhati High Court had granted bail to the 65-year-old Church leader.

It may be mentioned that after a city court rejected his bail application, Miller had moved the High Court.
