SHILLONG: The first ever two day seminar on Development of Business in North Eastern Postal region, organized in the city, was inaugurated by RGIIM Director Prof. Amitabh Dey on Monday.
Addressing the inaugural function, Chief Post Master General, PK Swain, exhorted the participants to built proper customer relations around the postal products and work as ambassadors in making the customers aware of the strength of technology based services provided by post offices.
On the other hand Prof. Dey reminded that for any organization to survive and thrive in a competitive environment, it has to adopt customer focus, product differentiation and use of technology to leverage organizational strength to serve any market.
Marketing officers of the seven postal divisions comprising six states of North East participated in the seminar.
