SHILLONG: Unknown miscreants on Wednesday night assaulted passengers of Ladrymbai-bound bus (AS 01 DD 6309) at Umran Dairy, Ri Bhoi.
Ri Bhoi SP CVS Reddy said the miscreants stopped the bus near a petrol pump at Umran Dairy and started assaulting the passengers.
He informed that the incident took place at around 11 pm and the under-ASTC bus was on its way to Ladrymbai from Guwahati.
The miscreants also made them kneel down. Later, miscreants sent the vehicle back to Guwahati. According to police, seven passengers received injures in the incident. Police have registered a case in this connection.
