SHILLONG: The rejection of the report of the High Level Committee (HLC) on Influx by Urban Affairs Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, who was also a member of the Committee, was on Tuesday criticized by the general secretary of HNYF, Sadon Blah.

Blah, who was also a part of the HLC, resented that Ampareen, despite being a member of the said committee, is now belittling the recommendations of the HLC.

Blah reminded that during a meeting of the HLC, Ampareen had spoken on the need to have a model ILP in the State.

Blah also stated that after the HLC submitted its report to the Government, it was the duty of the Chief Minister to disseminate the information to the ministers, legislators and others.

Blah also stated that Ampareen, who is questioning the recommendations of the HLC, should first come out clean on the report submitted by the CBI following its probe in the teachers’ recruitment case in the State.
