l A Maruti Alto (MLO5K – 3118) travelling towards Mawkasiang and a Maruti 800 local taxi (ML05E – 6857) coming from the opposite direction were involved in a head-on collision at Mawkasiang under Mawryngkneng Block, East Khasi Hills District, on September 9 at 10.35 am. The injured persons have been identified as Bashisha Kharkongor (30, F) and Bantiplang Kharkongor (28, M).

l A loaded truck (ASO1BC – 8970) hit a wall on the side of the road after it developed some technical snag and later went off the road. The truck was proceeding towards Byrnihat from Guwahati when the incident occurred near CMJ factory at Raja Bagan under Umling Block, Ri-Bhoi District, on September 8. The helper of the truck, Mohammed Aminur (18, M) was injured in the accident.

l A Maruti 800 local taxi (MLO5D – 2432) hit a wall on the side of the road when the brakes of the vehicle failed to function and in the process the driver along with a passenger sustained injuries. The incident happened at Mawlai Mawroh, Shillong on September 8 at around 8 pm. The injured persons have been identified as Baniaineh Lyngdoh Mawphlang (30, M) and Beldonald Sawian (34, M).

The injured persons were shifted to the nearby hospitals by the 108 Ambulances located in various parts of the State.
