SHILLONG: 23 Garoland activists, who have been arrested for attacking the staff Tura Deputy Commissioner’s Office, including women employees, have decided to stage a hunger strike on Sunday.

Informing this on Saturday, the jailor of Tura district jail J Sangma said 23 people, who are presently lodged in Tura district jail, would stage hunger strike on the jail premises.

“It is not known whether it will be an indefinite hunger strike,” Sangma said.
