N’land documentaries screen at NY

Kohima: Screening of short documentaries on Nagaland followed by moderated discussions is being held at the Rubin Museum of Art in New York.

According to sources, the films in this documentary series, depict in vivid detail the Naga people’s cultural traditions, the region’s stunning beauty and the State’s fifty year conflict with the Indian Government.

The films being screened are Two Short Films by Yapangnaro Longkumer; The Dairy Of Mimi (Commissioned by The Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission) and ‘And Down To The River They went’ (Commissioned By Department Of Art and Culture and NEZCC); ‘A Measure of Impunity’, Produced by Sanjoy Hazarika; The Konyaks Of Nagaland’.
