Rewari: Slamming the Congress-led UPA government over the issue of violation of borders by Pakistan and China, Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2014 polls Narendra Modi on Sunday said problem is not at the borders but in Delhi and solution will have to find out from Delhi only by forming a strong and capable government in the next election.

“Pakistan has been violating borders. China has also started challenging us on our borders. This is not because our soldiers are weak, but because of problems in Delhi. Problem is not at the borders, it is in Delhi. We need to change the government at Delhi. We need a capable, strong government at Delhi which is full of patriotism to ensure the safety of the nation,” Modi said, addressing a rally of ex-servicemen at Rewari in Haryana.

He said only a capable government can ensure security to the nation and its people.

“More soldiers have died due to terrorism and Maoism in India,” he said.

He alleged that the Congress government at the Centre has disrespected Army jawans the most.

“I can’t forget contribution made by Army jawans in relief works during the Gujarat earthquake. Army jawans lost their lives while saving people during the Uttarakhand tragedy. When the whole nation was praising the jawans, Pakistan killed our soldiers at the border. However, our Defence Minister said in Parliament that they were not Pakistani soldiers but terrorists dressed in Pakistan uniform,” Mr Modi said.

He slammed those politicians who gave irresponsible statements on the sacrifice made by Army jawans. (UNI)
