Heavy downpour predicted in State

SHILLONG: Shillong will have to brace for heavy downpour from Wednesday night with predictions of moderate to heavy rainfall throughout this week according to the weather forecast of the Regional Metrological Centre (RMC), Guwahati.

The RMC informed that during this period a total of 65mm of rainfall is expected with light general wind along with sunny spells throughout the week. A maximum temperature of 23-25 Degree Celsius will prevail during this period in and around Shillong.

The weather condition in Cherrapunjee however will be different from that of Shillong as the temperature will be higher by a couple of degrees. Thunderstorms with rainfall is likely to occur in Cherrapunjee area from Tuesday onwards.
