SHILLONG: Unidentified miscreants threw a petrol bomb at the Mawsynram PHE Division office on Wednesday. Sources informed that the office was partially damaged.

In another incident, a petrol bomb was hurled at the old police outpost at Ranikor.

The structure was partially damaged.

Interestingly, the twin incidents have occurred on the eve 12-hour bandh called by the five circles of the Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (Sawsymper, Mawsynram, Lawbah, Balat and Ranikor) on September 19 in Mawsynram and Ranikor areas demanding the release of three its members who were arrested recently.

The 12-hour bandh would be effective from 5 am.
