Death
On September 20, Bhim Bahadur Nepali was found dead inside his house at Barapathar, Shillong. Necessary formalities have been observed and matter is under enquiry.
Arson
- On September 19 at about 7:30 am, unknown miscreants broke into the Godown of M/s Nowell Gas Agency at Ar Kilo (East Jaintia Hills) and stole four LPG cylinders.
- On September 18 around 8:30 pm, unidentified NGO activists pelted stones at the house of one Debojit Warjri, ex-Headman at Lower New Colony, Laitumkhrah. As a result, the window pane was damaged. Matter is under enquiry.
- Emdor Passah of Social Forestry Range, Shangpung lodged a complaint at Jowai Police Station that on September 13 night, unknown miscreants attempted to set fire to the office.
