Manish Tewari to attend ST’s 69th anniv celebrations today

SHILLONG: Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Manish Tewari will arrive here on Tuesday to attend the 69th anniversary celebrations of The Shillong Times at Hotel Pinewood at 5 pm.

A panel discussion on the theme ‘Is media the conscience keeper of the nation’ is being organised on the occasion. The panelists include Paul Lyngdoh, MLA, RG Lyngdoh, Vice Chancellor, Martin Luther Christian University, Dr Sukalpa Bhattacharjee of NEHU, Pradyot Manikya Debbarman, Editor, The Northeast Today and David Laitphlang, President, Shillong Press Club. Partho Chakraborty, Programme Executive, DDK Shillong, will moderate the panel discussion.

Tewari will participate in the panel discussion as a special guest. Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma will grace the occasion as the chief guest.

Tewari will leave for New Delhi on September 25.
