SHILLONG: Rape cases involving minors were reported in Jaintia Hills wherein two minor boys were arrested by the police for committing the heinous crime against two minor girls on two different occasions.
In the first case, a 14-year-old boy was arrested by the East Jaintia Hills police for his alleged involvement in raping a 4-year-old girl at Amlarem on September 21.
In another case, a 13-year-old boy was arrested for raping a 3-year-old girl at Thangrain village in West Jaintia Hills on September 20.
The two juveniles have been forwarded to the Juvenile Justice Board.
Elsewhere, unidentified miscreants attempted to kidnap and rape one minor girl (14 years) at Umsning, Ri Bhoi, on September 22 at around 6.30 pm.
