Arson attacks condemned

NONGSTOIN: The Synjuk ki Nongshynshar Shnong of Nongstoin Area has condemned the recent arson cases and damage to public and private properties by unknown miscreants during the night road blockades by the pro- ILP NGOs at Nongstoin.

This week witnessed several cases of arson at Nongstoin during the night road blockade that kicked off from Monday.

Two offices- EE PWD (Roads) and Meghalaya Khadi and Village Industries Board were torched while the Fisheries Office was almost set ablaze, had the chowkidar not been present to douse the flames.

Also, an ambulance ferrying a patient to the Civil Hospital was attacked with stones by unknown miscreants. Earlier at Nongstoin, a dumper truck belonging to the BSC C&C JV was set ablaze by unknown miscreants.
