Govt must stop this violence

Share post:

Editor,

KHNAM and its compatriots in the ILP movement may deny their role in the burning of garment shops in Police Bazar but there is no doubt in anybody’s mind about who is really to blame. The pressure groups and their political masters are wholly culpable for these cowardly attacks on non tribals and govt buildings. The government cannot continue to remain a mute bystander to the murderous intentions of pressure groups and certain politicians. It must act, and act fast before the situation deteriorates further. As of now the government is seen as weak and helpless, unwilling to take effective measures to control the situation due to political compulsions. The security measures taken by the police have been useless, with violence and arson reported every day. The economy is in shambles and prices are going through the roof. Citizens are living in a state of fear and uncertainty. Is this what the Govt wants? Let the CM ask for the Army if the police is unable to contain the situation. That will sort things out very quickly.

Stop the bandhs and agitations

Editor,

I request the NGOs to please stop these bandhs, agitations for the so called “benefit” of the people because it seems you have become terrorists. As I know it, the word terrorist means elements (individuals) that spread terror (fear among the living), and seeing the way that you people are doing things and forcing your opinions and views and your so called “democratic” agitations and acts on everyone else, I think you are on a quest to declare yourselves a new terrorist group of the state and the country as well. If your are not then please think in a broadminded way and at least show the world that we are also educated people.

NGOs must reimburse loss

Editor,

The Government should add up the loss to the State’s revenue due to bandhs and picketing, damage to Government and individual property and lives and present the BILL to NGOs. Let them bear the cost or be sent to jail. Government must form a high level committee to investigate allegations of mystery funding and extortion by NGOs and publish findings in media. Let the truth come out in black and white.

Yours etc,

Do I deserve to be paid?

Editor,

I am paid (temporarily) by the government under the deficit system. In the last 19 days (September) I could work only for 6 days. At the end of the month I will know exactly how many days I work. May be 10/12 days or even less going by the way things are going on. Now, do I deserve to be paid? Sincerely no! At the end of the month I will write to the Education Minister to pay me only for the days I work.

Yours etc.,
