3-yr-old toddler brings 13 bags of pot to school
New York: A 3-year-old girl accidentally brought 13 bags of marijuana to school, after she was set up by a family friend, it has been revealed.
According to the police, Kelly Mena, had slipped the bag of pot in a pink Minnie Mouse backpack, which the kid brought to her school in Harlem, the New York Post reported.
The law enforcement sources said that a teacher of the Early Life school discovered the drugs after she got a whiff of the stinky bud emanating from the bag.
School officials called the police and the parents of the child to the school.
The parents later showed up at the 32 precinct station house to talk to investigators, after which the police discovered that it was Mena who was responsible and arrested her.
Mena has been charged with criminal possession of marijuana and criminal sale of marijuana. (ANI)
Dog dies while saving 4-year-old boy from speeding car
New York: A ‘hero’ dog has died after he saved a 4-year-old boy in US by pushing him away from the path of a speeding car. Simon, a 36.2 kg Boxer, pushed his visually impaired owner Dave Furukawa’s son to safety, while being struck in the process by the vehicle.
“This is true loyalty and courage,” said Furukawa. Furukawa was walking his son, Will, to school in Atlanta when a red Chrysler ran through the stop sign and hit the pooch as they crossed a street last week, NBC affiliate WXIA-TV reported. However, the brave dog bounced back up in time to push Will out of the way, witnesses said.
“What people have said is that Simon either got up or jumped out, and pushed my son out of the path of the car,” said Furukawa. Witnesses lifted Will and ran him down the street to his mother. Simon went with them, the report said. Family members rushed Simon to an emergency vet clinic, but the boxer died on the way. (PTI)

London: The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister Pippa Middleton was spotted out with her boyfriend at Mayfair club Annabel’s.
The couple left for home in the wee hours of the morning.
Pippa donned a glittering gold dress and was seen holding hands with Nico as the couple gazed into each others’ eyes, the Daily Star reported.
Rumours have been rife that the pair are set to announce their engagement. (ANI)
Ex-banker found with 44 properties, jailed
Beijing: A former Chinese banker was Sunday sentenced to three years in prison for forging and trading official documents, and possessing 44 properties in Beijing.
Gong Aiai, mocked by Chinese netizens as “Sister House”, was found with a huge number of properties purchased under fake IDs, and was convicted at the People’s Court of Jingbian county, reported Xinhua.
Gong, former deputy head of the Shenmu county rural commercial bank in Yulin city, was found to have illegally purchased Beijing hukou (household registration) for her daughter and herself at a cost of 300,000 yuan ($48,000) in 2005, in order to buy houses in the capital.
In January, online whistleblowers revealed that Gong had more than 20 properties in Beijing worth an estimated one billion yuan.
A police investigation found that Gong under four IDs possessed 44 Beijing properties with total floor space of 10,543 square metres. The total property was valued at around 395 million yuan.
Gong previously said in court that she earned money mainly through coal business and had borrowed money from friends. She claimed that all her possessions were gained through legal means. (ANI)
Diana made secret tape for Wills and his future family’
London: Princess Diana’s friend has said that she had recorded a secret tape for her eldest son Prince William and his future family.
According to US magazine The Globe, one of Diana’s closest friend said that she recorded them with her parental advice in case her fears were realised and she would not be around to guide her children, the Daily Star reported.
The sensational revelation has come just weeks after a new investigation into her death was sparked by an SAS sniper’s claims that Diana was killed by security forces.
The friend suggested that Diana had a chilling premonition about her death because of worries that she had made some dangerous enemies.
Diana’s messages urged William and his future wife to cherish their kids for me and to let them know that she will love them and watch over them.
Although Diana never did meet Kate, the US magazine claimed that the secret tapes showed that she imagined William’s bride to be “beautiful, smart and independent.”
It’s alleged that the voice on the tape says she knows that she would adore her daughter-in-law and they’d be fast friends.
The voice also said that she’d have to be someone truly special and if she wasn’t then she wouldn’t be her son William’s wife.
Diana reportedly advised her future daughter-in-law to work at her marriage to survive the pressures of public life and warned her that being a future Queen makes marriage harder.
Diana reportedly ended the tape by wishing the couple a future that is free of the dark shadow that is casted by divorce. (ANI)
