Brahmaputra erosion leaves 300 people homeless

Morigaon: Around 300 people were rendered homeless as erosion by Brahmaputra river washed away their villages in Morigaon district Monday morning. The homeless people have taken shelter on the nearby highland, while erosion continued to pose a threat to the area. Meanwhile, Assam State Disaster Management Authority said over 2,500 are hit by flood in Dhemaji district. Nearly 800 people are taking shelter in two relief camps. (PTI)
