Free tablets for class XII students

SHILLONG: With the vision of ‘enriching education with technology in the 21st century’, the state government will distribute tablet computers to class XII students of all streams in the state under the Student Digital Learning Aid Scheme.

In East Khasi Hills, Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma will distribute the tablets during a public function to be held on October 2 at Ground 5 at Polo. The scheme is designed to technologically facilitate students with innovative, personalised, and state of the art learning experience. Class XII students have been asked to attend the function along with valid school/college ID cards to collect the freebie.
