Lyngngam Hr Sec rule the roost in Mawshynrut

SHILLONG: Lyngngam Hr Sec School, Mawthengkut, were the winners of six team events at the multi-discipline Inter-School Tournament (Mawshynrut Block), which ended on Wednesday.

The school won the badminton, handball and kabaddi events in both boys and girls divisions.

Arthur Dkhar and Medicable Thongni won the boys and girls individual badminton events, respectively, for the school as well.

Lyngngam Hr Sec also finished runners-up in girls kho-kho and boys volleyball.

Fantin Diengngan came second in boys badminton for Rev S Wellington School, Mawthengkut, while Riangdo’s Tiny Tots School’s Ibaphiralin Mawsor finished runner-up in the girls event.

Rev S Wellington School took the title in girls kho-kho, girls badminton and girls volleyball, while finishing second in boys kho-kho and boys and girls kabaddi.

May Flower UPS, Mawthengkut, claimed the boys kho-kho title, while coming second in girls handball, girls volleyball and boys badminton.

Jidon Sing Memorial Sec School, Seinduli, were victorious in boys volleyball.

They also finished runners-up in boys handball.
