Fraud
One Liona Syiemiong and others lodged a complaint at Laban PS that on August 22, 2012, one Suryajeet Kapoor cheated them of Rs. 37 lakh with a promise to supply GPRS equipments. In a counter FIR, Dr. Suryajeet Kapoor lodged a complaint at Laban PS that four persons, Rymer C. Syiemlieh, Wohlemika Lyngdoh, Liona Syiemiong and Wilfred sold one Maruti Gypsy without obtaining NOC from him.
Assault
On October 7 at around 10 pm, one Rajesh Thapa assaulted one woman, Dhan Maya Chettri (45) and her son, Shanker Chettri (16) at Nongmynsong, Shillong. As a result, Shanker Chettri sustained injuries and was admitted at CH, Shillong.
lOn October 2 at around 9 pm, one Bli Suna assaulted Mui Rymbai at Khliehtyrshi village (WJH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries.
Extortion
One Kaping Ponna and others lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on October 7 at around 7 pm, Jarvis Kharlukhi, David Kharlukhi and others extorted Rs. 350 and also threatened them with dire consequences at Lower Nongrim Hills, Shillong.
