Scott Eastwood, son of

actor-director Clint

Eastwood, has finally embraced his famous father’s surname after making a name for himself in the acting world.

The 27-year-old actor was going by Scott Reeves, his mother’s maiden name when he first entered the showbiz, reported Access Hollywood. “Everyone wanted to represent Scott Eastwood, right? That’s the cheapest game in the book. I wanted to be an actor for me and to see if I could do it,” Scott said on why he did not use his father’s surname initially.

But now that he is Eastwood, Scott says it has not given him a golden ticket through Hollywood. “Sure, I’ve had doors open for me.

But if you walk into an audition room and you can’t deliver… no one’s gonna hire you for the job,” he said.

Scott, however, feels that being born in a talented family helped him land opportunities that would be difficult for many.

“You gotta take the good with the bad. I’m gonna look at the glass half full and say that I’ve had a lot of great opportunities in my life because of my father and because of the way I was raised and the environment I was raised in. “But it’s how you handle yourself as a man. That’s what it comes down to in this world. You know? How you handle yourself on a job, whether you’re a plumber or a carpenter, whatever you do it’s how you handle yourself.” The actor is currently working with Brad Pitt on World War II drama ‘Fury’.
