Temporary suspension of ILP stir

SHILLONG: Responding to the request from several quarters, the pro-ILP groups, who have agitating for implementation of ILP, have suspended their agitation temporarily from October 10 to 16 in view of different religious festivals.

Durga Puja is slated to be held from October 11 and Id is on October 16.

Announcing this here on Tuesday, KSU general secretary Auguster Jyrwa said the decision was taken as a mark of respect to the religious sentiments of the people of the state.

Jyrwa also informed that the leaders would meet on October 16 to chalk out their future course.
