CM inaugurates career counselling centre at Ampati

SHILLONG: Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma on Thursday launched the Career Guidance Scheme for students by inaugurating the career counselling centre in Ampati Govt Higher Secondary School.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, South West Garo Hills, Deputy Commissioner Ram Singh said that the counselling centre is equipped with comprehensive Career Pathfinder Charts for different careers such as medical, engineering, management, law, mass media, sports, teaching, agriculture, defence and paramilitary, agriculture and allied, tourism, sports etc along with books and magazines for different competitive exams.

The Centre also has ICT material will have internet connectivity to enable students to have up to date knowledge about emerging careers in Public, private sector and entrepreneurship.

The Chief Minister also distributed PC Tablets to the 385 students of Class 12th of South West Garo Hills under Students Digital Learning Aid scheme during a separate function organised in Ampati Mini Stadium.
