SHILLONG: President Pranab Mukherjee will meet a 30-member delegation of the Grand Council of Chiefs of Meghalaya led by John F Kharshiing on October 21 at 5 pm at Raj Bhavan.
Kharshiing informed that the delegation will comprise of Syiem, Lyngdoh, Sirdar, Dolloi and Nokma.
The Chiefs will submit a copy of a white paper on Indian states which speaks of the Instrument of Accession and Annexed Agreement signed and accepted by the then Governor General of India, C Rajagopalachari, on August 17, 1948.
