PUNE: A twin strike from Darryl Duffy and a late goal from Gilbert Olivera saw Salgaocar move to the top of the points table with a 3-1 victory against Mumbai FC here on Friday.
Salgaocar now have 10 points from three games, ahead of Bengaluru FC only on goal difference.
No goals were scored in the first half and the second session continued in the same vein until Duffy made it 1-0 in the 65th minute.
Five minutes later he added his second and Mumbai replied in the 85th minute through Jayesh Rane.
Olivera sealed the outcome a minute before 90 minutes of play.
Mumbai now lie fifth in the table, with only six points from five games.
The Goan team have played four matches now, with three wins and one draw, giving them an excellent start to the season.
