SHILLONG: The eagerly-anticipated maiden Shillong derby between I-League clubs Shillong Lajong FC and Rangdajied United FC is likely to be preponed by one day.

The match, set to be held at the JN Stadium, Polo, was scheduled for November 23, but may now take place a day before, on November 22.

The need to change the date is because November 23 is also the annual Seng Kut Snem, the foundation day of the Seng Khasi.

The I-League has yet to communicate the change in date officially, however.

The two teams should not be troubled with the preponement, as neither club will be playing for around two weeks beforehand.
