Actor-producer Michael Douglas says he and his estranged wife Catherine Zeta-Jones are working on their relationship.
During an appearance on ‘Tonight Show with Jay Leno’, the ‘Behind the Candelabra’ actor says that his relationship with Zeta-Jones “should hopefully be on the up and up”, reported Aceshowbiz.
“Good I hope. I’ve been away for a while but everything should hopefully be on the up and up,” he said. The 69-year-old actor also told similar thing in an interview with E! news.
‘Onwards and upwards,’ he had said when asked about his relationship with the Red 2 actress. Recently, a man who was said to be Douglas was reportedly spotted with Zeta-Jones in Greenwich, Connecticut, but the actor denied that it was him. “I haven’t been home yet… I’ve been in New Mexico making a picture called The Reach for the last five weeks…
So, I look forward to getting home, but that wasn’t me… Must’ve been a look alike.”
In late August, representatives for both stars said that the couple was taking a break from their relationship.
“Catherine and Michael are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage,” they said. Douglas and Zeta-Jones have two children together, Dylan and Carys. (PTI)
