Hindu Parishad calls on President

SHILLONG: Concerned over the violent incidents in the State during the agitation of pro-ILP groups demanding implementation of ILP, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Shillong based at Jhalupara sought the intervention of the President of India.
In a letter addressed to the President on Saturday, Anand Kumar Thapa, City Vice President VHP said that considering the present situation, there is a need to take necessary steps  for protection of the genuine Indian citizens residing in the State of Meghalaya in General and in the Khasi Hills in particular.
