The electronic gadgets, which include a Central Processing Unit (CPU), keyboard and mouse, were stolen from the chamber of Marak, who represents Rongara Siju in the State Assembly.

According to police, Marak’s peon Anita G Momin found at around 12.30 noon that the CPU, the keyboard and the mouse were missing. She reportedly went to the room to hear songs in the computer.

Personnel from the finger print bureau and Dog Squad arrived at the spot to carry out the investigation.

Police are yet to ascertain whether the gadgets were stolen by outsider or by people from inside the office premises even as they hinted on the possibility of outsiders intruding into the secretariat to commit the offence.
