Kohima: A miscreant lobbed a hand grenade inside a vehicle in a garage on Thursday, which on explosion, damaged eight vehicles.
Sources said on hearing the blast, two of the watchmen went to check out but did not find anything unusual and thought the blast could have been Diwali crackers bursting.
However, he said it was only the next morning, that the watchmen noticed eight vehicles damaged by grenade splinters.
The source also disclosed that the firing pin of the grenade was also recovered from the blast site. The CCTV footage also showed a man at the main gate seconds before the blast. Police said investigation was on and an FIR was also lodged. (UNI)
