DC notifies Parking arrangement

SHILLONG: For the Annual Eucharistic Procession 2013 to be held on November 10 at Cathedral Parish, Laitumkhrah, the parking places for the vehicles coming to the procession are arranged as-light vehicles of the religious will park at Don Bosco Tech School, Christ King College, Laitumkhrah and Holy Cross Brookdene. Vehicles of VIPs will also park at Don Bosco Tech School.
Light vehicles of the public coming to Malki-Dhankheti road and Shillong College area will go and park at Don Bosco Mini stadium, St Mary’s, St Margareth’s compounds, Hopkinson road and Jacob Ladder road, light vehicles coming to Malki can also go to park in one side of the road of Nongshilliang Locality of Malki near Basic School, light vehicles entering from NEEPCO/Lower New Colony will park in one side of the Upper Colony road, parking lot at Upper Colony locality, compound of Holy Cross convent at Red Hill, open ground of Shillong Public School and the Directorate of School Education and Literary at Nongkynrih locality.
Light vehicles coming from Nongthymmai and those coming via Nongrim Hills-Bethany Hospital road will park at St Edmund’s campus and in one side of Fruit Garden Road. Heavy vehicles like buses and Sumo coming from Nongthymmai will park at Fire Brigade ground, those coming from West Khasi Hills, Pynursla, Sohra and Ri Bhoi via Civil Hospital to Barik Point can go to Lady Hydari Park uotp Seven Set School and can park along this road upto Lady Hydari park and Pine Mount School, they can also go to IGP road, Additional Secretariat round AG’s office and to AIR road, MBOSE and Bevar road. Vehicles coming from Polo via Raj Bhavan will also park at AIR road, MBOSE and also Bevar road, those entering from Barik point to Lower Lachumiere will park at Horse Shoe Building compound, along the road side upto DIPR office and compound of the District Transport Officer, East Khasi Hills.
Those who will come for the Eucharistic procession from different parishes are requested to co-operate with the volunteers for the smooth functioning of the procession.
