New Office bearers

The Maharashtra A.chik Youth Association (MAYA) had organized a one day awareness program on self-development in Meghalaya House, Mumbai on November 2. This event marked the completion of one year since MAYA’s coming into existence. On this day, new leaders were elected to lead the association during 2013-2014 with Rudolf Ch Marak as the president, Chesrang Ch. Sangma as the vice president, Amsrang G. Momin as the general secretary besides others.

Lucky Draw

The drawing dates of the Lucky Draw in aid of school drop-outs organised by the KSU Umjaiur unit scheduled to be held on October 21 has been re-scheduled, the dates of which will be announced very soon.

Public Notice

The sub divisional officer (supply), Sohra civil sub division has invited fresh application from interested person, cooperative societies, NGOs, SHG for appointing as government nominee, wholesale dealership in PDS for the year 2014 at the approved wholesale centres, two numbers in Mawkdok, one in Laitryngew, three in Sohra, one in Lad Sohbar and two in Shella. Those interested can contact the office of the sub divisional officer (supply) of Sohra civil sub division for application forms and other detail information during office hours. The last date of submission of application is on or before November 12.

Aqua fest

The department of Fisheries is organising the 1st Aquafest, an occasion to showcase the developments taking place in the fishery sector, under the Meghalaya State Aquaculture Mission and also an opportunity to market the fresh fish produced locally by the farmers of Khasi and Jaintia Hills district. on November 6 and 7 at the State Central Library. The event will be inaugurated by Chief Secretary WMS Pariat on November 6 at 10.30am.

Winter session

The winter session of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) will commence from November 12. JHADC Chairman, Obil Kyndait has already summoned the session and notices have been sent to all members of house.
