SHILLONG: Nazareth Hospital Disaster Management, formed a Hospital Disaster Committee on November 2. The meeting was attended by the Hospital administrator, Chief medical officer, all Heads of departments, Principal, Rapsbun School of nursing, the Laitumkhrah Headmen and representatives from the Laitumkhrah police station.
The committee was formally included in the Hospital Mass Casualty/Trauma Event Protocol.
The roles of each members were highlighted in the meeting. Further training on Hospital disaster management and Basic Life support for volunteers will be undertaken from time to time.
