Guwahati: Six school children were injured and cracks appeared in buildings when a moderate earthquake of 5.5 intensity on the Richter scale rocked Assam on Wednesday. Tremor was felt in Shillong also.The tremor, which occurred at 9.46 am and lasted a few seconds, caused cracks to appear in the building of a middle school in Golaghat district. As scared students attempted to flee they fell and six of them were injured. (PTI)
