Garo Union denies nexus with UALA

SHILLONG: The All India Garo Union, Shillong region has denied any nexus with UALA militants.
In a statement issued here, the All India Garo Union said that the Union  does not have any links with any of the anti social elements. “The A.I.G.U is not a political group but only works as a social group for the peace and harmony of the state and have not given any statement against the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council elections”, the Union said.
It also condemned the killing of seven innocent villagers in Goalpara during the festival of Diwali and  conveyed  condolences to the bereaved families. The Union has also asked the police to arrest all the culprits involved in the killings to give justice to the bereaved families.
