SHILLONG: As the stalemate over the ILP issue continues, the pro-ILP groups have declared fresh agitation with night road blockades from 8 pm to 5 am (next day) on November 12 and 15.
Informing this here on Sunday, RBYF central body general secretary K Sawkmie said the 14 NGOs have decided to intensify the agitation since the State government continued to remain adamant on the issue.
The agitating group decided to skip agitation on November 13 and 14 in view of the ongoing Pomblang festival, which started on November 9, and the annual thanksgiving dance festival which is scheduled for November 13 and 14 at Smit.
Meanwhile, the NGOs slammed the police and district administration for arresting CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing.
Kharshiing was arrested for obstructing the MUDA official from conducting eviction drive at Umsawli village.
