Kohima: Nagaland Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture and Chairman Nagaland State Agriculture Marketing Board (NSAMB) Dr. Benjongliba Aier has said that it is estimated that every year, ‘our state sells more than Rs. 10 Crores worth of broom.’

Official sources said that speaking at the workshop of Naga People’s front (NPF) farmers’ wing policies and programmes for central office bearers at the NPF Central Office in Kohima on Saturday Dr. Aier said that broom is natural gift of God for the Naga farmers, he said adding that by nature, broom is found all over the state. ‘

We only have to collect and sell it,’ he said adding that this business as of now is carried out by the non-Nagas only. (UNI)
